Dr. Keith A. Evans is Associate Professor of Christian Counseling at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina, and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He earned his Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling and Th.M. in Christian Ethics from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where his doctoral research focused on reclaiming a Reformed understanding of demonology for pastoral counseling.
Before joining RTS, Dr. Evans served as Professor of Biblical Counseling, Director of the Biblical Counseling Institute, and Academic Dean at Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to his seminary teaching ministry, he pastored in Lafayette, Indiana, for seven years.
His teaching and research interests include biblical counseling, Christian ethics, pastoral theology, spiritual warfare, and the relationship between theological anthropology and counseling methodology. Dr. Evans is a regular speaker and contributor in the biblical counseling movement, with writings and resources appearing through the Biblical Counseling Coalition, The Gospel Coalition, Ligonier, TableTalk, IBCD, and the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors. He is married to Melissa, and they have four daughters.
